"MORBY COTTAGE" - Northam 1836 - the Home of John Morrell, Founder of Northam.
Although the story of John Morrell is typical of all pioneers in the Northam District, it has one point of difference. He was the first! Morrell took up the first farm, built the first farmhouse, turned the first sod, imported the first livestock to the district and sent the first farm produce to Perth.
Morby Cottage has been restored by the Morby Cottage Working Group,
and is proudly open to the public on Sundays 10.30am - 4pm.
